Child Psychiatry Volunteer

The Clinical Support Intern provides administrative, clinical, and operational support to the multidisciplinary team within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic. This role offers hands-on exposure to pediatric mental health services while assisting clinicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to children, adolescents, and their families. The internship is ideal for students pursuing psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, public health, or related healthcare disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clinicians with patient flow and clinic operations.
  • Prepare examination and consultation rooms as needed.
  • Support intake procedures, including collecting and organizing patient documentation.
  • Observe clinical assessments and multidisciplinary meetings when appropriate and approved.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Public Health, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Interest in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
