

Dr. Ayotunde Ayobello is the Director of Greenwich Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He earned his M.D. from Crimea State Medical University in Ukraine, completing his training shortly after the 2014 annexation of Crimea. He completed his psychiatry internship at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Arnold P. Gold Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. He went on to complete his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center, where he was recognized with the Yale Poorvu Grant for Teaching and Learning and the Melvin Lewis Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education.
Dr. Ayobello is also a self-taught oil painter and medical humanities scholar whose work explores the intersection of psychiatry and visual art. His paintings have been featured in the American Journal of Psychiatry Residents’ Journal, the AMA Journal of Ethics, and the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
A former elite basketball player and member of the Crimea State Basketball Team (2008–2014), Dr. Ayobello brings a unique understanding of the psychological demands faced by student-athletes. He speaks Russian, enjoys traveling, and is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
