

Dr. Ayotunde Ayobello is the Medical Director of Greenwich Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. A Yale-trained Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, he is dedicated to helping children, young adults, and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care.
Dr. Ayobello earned his medical degree from Crimea State Medical University in Ukraine before completing his psychiatry internship at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Arnold P. Gold Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. He subsequently completed residency and fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center, where he was recognized with the Yale Poorvu Grant for Teaching and Learning and the Melvin Lewis Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Ayobello is an oil painter and physician-scholar whose work explores the intersection of psychiatry, identity, and visual storytelling. His artwork and writing have appeared in the American Journal of Psychiatry Residents' Journal, the AMA Journal of Ethics, and the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
A former elite basketball player and member of the Crimea State Basketball Team, Dr. Ayobello brings a firsthand understanding of the mental and emotional demands faced by young athletes. This experience inspired the development of The Athlete Mindset Program (AMP), a structured clinical program that helps student-athletes build resilience, confidence, and the psychological skills needed to thrive in competition and in life.
Dr. Ayobello speaks Russian, enjoys traveling, creating art, and spending time with family. He is also an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
