The Clinical Support Intern provides administrative, clinical, and operational support to the multidisciplinary team within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic. This role offers hands-on exposure to pediatric mental health services while assisting clinicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to children, adolescents, and their families. The internship is ideal for students pursuing psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, public health, or related healthcare disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians with patient flow and clinic operations.
- Prepare examination and consultation rooms as needed.
- Support intake procedures, including collecting and organizing patient documentation.
- Observe clinical assessments and multidisciplinary meetings when appropriate and approved.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Public Health, Child Development, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Interest in child and adolescent mental health.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
