Dr. James Wegner is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. He served as a senior clinician at the Wilkins Center for Eating Disorders in Greenwich, CT, where he developed extensive expertise in the treatment of eating disorders, with a particular focus on working with males experiencing anorexia and bulimia.

Dr. Wegner’s clinical work also includes treating anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, OCD, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and academic or job performance difficulties. He has additional expertise in neuropsychological testing, helping patients and families better understand learning, cognitive, and emotional functioning.

His therapeutic approach combines interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral techniques, fostering a collaborative environment that supports insight, growth, and practical change.

Dr. Wegner earned his undergraduate degree from the City University of New York at Queens College and his Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University. He has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed psychiatry and psychology journals.
